Experimental studies conducted by international organizations and associations:
- The OECD – Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has conducted a number of studies analyzing ESG-related policies.
- European Commission – The European Commission conducted ESG studies in 2021 as part of its Sustainable Finance Action Plan. These studies aim to increase sustainable investments in financial markets.

Country-specific empirical studies on ESG:
- Norway – The Norwegian State Pension Fund has been conducting systematic research to assess ESG risks since 2021.
- France – France has been implementing the “Sustainable Finance” initiative since 2015. The French Ministry of Finance is conducting various studies to implement ESG standards and increase the transparency of investment decisions.
- Great Britain – The United Kingdom has launched a "Green Finance Strategy" program to strengthen ESG principles from 2021. As part of this strategy, extensive research is being carried out to assess ESG risks and opportunities.
- Canada – Canada has been conducting ESG research through the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) since 2020. The CSA conducts research in various sectors to develop independent ESG standards.
- Australia – Australia has launched the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI) project starting in 2021. Within the framework of this project, research is being conducted to assess ESG indicators and increase sustainable investments in financial markets.
- Germany – Germany has expanded ESG research since 2021 under the “Aktionsprogramm Nachhaltige Finanzen” (Sustainable Finance Program). This program promotes the application of ESG criteria for the financial sector.
- Switzerland – In 2020, the Swiss Financial Supervisory Authority (FINMA) conducted independent research promoting the application of ESG criteria.
